I would use digital photography with older students. I don't think that they would be mature enough to handle digital cameras till the middle of 4th grade. I think that it would be fun and hands-on for the students for math. They could also take pictures of events or people that represent vocabulary words or spelling words they are learning.
I didn't really think about how using cameras in the classroom would be best in the older grades. It would be hard for younger kids especially when they are still trying to develop their fine motor skills.
ReplyDeleteI like your comic strips! I disagree that you would have to wait for fourth grade to use the cameras tho...I think that younger generations are so used to technology that they could handle it with sufficient supervision. I guess you would just have to take it on a case by case basis!
