The website I evaluated was http://kids.nationalgeographic.com
The website has big, easy buttons to press and there is always a button for the home page if the kids get lost. The website has different columns of information that are in bright, different colors. The website gives me the creeps because there are ants crawling across the page, but i'm sure the students will love that!
The only problem that I encountered on this website was that I could not find a handicap accessary area.
I am glad that you were able to find such a great website to use. Even if it does have a small problem, I don't think you can ever find a perfect website. I really agree with your idea that after reviewing checklists and going over the evaluation process a few times, it will be easy to just know what you are looking for!
ReplyDeleteI also thought that using Kathy Schrock's elementary guide was fast and easy. The thing I really liked about it was that at the end, I was the one to choose if the website was valid or not, it just gave me all the tools to make the right decision.
